How to fix construction’s female problem
The gender pay gap in construction is entirely not surprising when the female participation in the industry is so low. Here are five strategies to fix it, from the former CEO of a tier-one construction company.

This is disappointing, but it is not surprising when the female participation in the industry is so low; the construction industry has only a 13 per cent female participation, according to Jobs and Skills Australia.
Fixing the gender pay gap will take many years of consistent and focused effort by leaders. If companies fear the name and shame approach, and want to stay out of media headlines, they could fix their pay gap quickly by attempting to game the system.
