A number of the BRW Fast 100 have used venture capital. We asked them if it was a good experience.

PIE FACE: Using VC has been an overall positive experience. Securing support from the right investors helps focus the business model, validates the business model and secures capital to execute the plan.

FINOVIA: Using VC was the best decision that we made. Our VC partners have been completely supportive through the most difficult of business environments and are a primary driver behind our growth.

SPIRIT TELECOM: Yes. The amount of capital required was enough to get the business running and growing. It was not such an amount that failure would have caused the investor’s financial demise.

ART INDEX: Yes, we found a passionate angel investor who loved the product and wanted to remain involved and provide advice.
