Facebook is a growing part of how many businesses communicate with customers but marketers may want to know the best time to post. Fortunately, a small business digital agency based in the US, Linchpin SEO, has crunched the numbers. It found the answer varies by industry and put together a useful infographic.

One surprise is that weekends, particularly Sunday, turn out to be an ideal time to post for some sectors.

Industries that benefit from weekend Facebook posts include advertising and consulting, automotive, consumer packaged goods, entertainment, finance, food and beverage, health and beauty, non-profits, publishing, sport, telecommunications and travel and leisure.

Yet most marketing teams work Monday to Friday, so either that needs to change or business ought to make more judicious use of the scheduled post options on Facebook.
