Phillip Wolanski is the managing director of Denwol (previously DW & Company), a property development and investment company. Wolanski inherited the business upon the death of his father Dennis in 1992. In the past five years, Wolanski has sold a few of his Sydney property holdings. He is building a $68 million hotel, to be operated by the Rydges chain, at Sydney airport, where he already owns the budget Hotel Formule 1. Last year, Wolanski was part of a consortium that bought two hotels at Darwin airport. He also has interests in the MGB Equity Growth fund. Wolanski is a passionate supporter of soccer and is on the board of Football Federation Australia.

He was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2008 for his philanthropic contributions to arts, sporting and cultural organisations. In 1998, he established the Wolanski Foundation, in memory of his father, to support the performing arts.
